We have a couple rules before donating:

Must Be Clean: Bottles and jars must been cleaned before we take them in.

No Wine or Beer Bottles: Although they can make for great terrariums these types of glass bottles are better recycled because of their difficulty getting plants and rocks through the narrow opening. That doesn’t mean you shouldn’t try it out for yourself, just make sure you set aside a lot of time when tackling these.

No Heavily Tinted Glass: This type of glass can affect the amount of light plants and moss receive, a light tint is fine.
